DIY: Beaded Jump Ring

Did you try to slide a nice big bead on a jump ring and it did not "want" to go there? Today I want to show you how make jump rings with gemstone, or any “beads” on them. In other words, you will be able to create fancy jump rings, which can be used as connectors in a variety of projects.
 Materials:
·  Wire 22ga or thicker (it has to fit bead’s hole), round, half hard
·  Gem beads 3mm, or seed beads size 6°or 8°, or gem chips

Tools:

·  Chain nose pliers
·  Flash wire cutters

Step 1: Slide a bead on a piece of wire.
Step 2: Start bending the wire in “U” shape as shown…
Step 3: Continue bending the wire ends towards each other so they cross and form either oval shape or round shape (see picture with a golden bead).
Step 4: Find a center of intersection… Hold one piece wire with flash side of cutters towards the bend and cut the wire.
Step 5: Make the second cut just across the first cut.
Step 6: Actually, your fancy jumpring is done! You may want to even the ends with chain nose pliers.

Try variations by using gemstone chips, seed beads or crystals too!
Use this jump rings for a necklace or bracelet design or attach to an ear wire for a simple pair of earrings.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial.
